Two Free Etsy Tools You’ll Want to Try

I’ve been an etsy seller for about 5 years now and it feels like I’m throwing oatmeal into the yard and waiting to see who eats it.

I know that sounds wierd, and a gross, but that’s how I feel. One year I had next to nothing sales, and the next $16K, then slowly dwindled to nothing. I don’t know what I did to earn $16K that year, so I can’t re-create it.

This year, I decided to do something about it. I decided to really pay attention to what works in my shop and what doesn’t. NOT what’s working for everyone else, but what’s working for me.

That’s when I discovered that most of my personal shop analytics are obfuscated behind clicking and clicking and time consuming individual item analytics.

What I needed (and I think what everyone needs) is a tool that takes the information that Etsy provides and puts it into a table. A table that can be sorted and analyzed.

Etsy Traffic

Shall we start with the traffic? I LOVE that Etsy provides access to the traffic, but what kind of action can I take with these statistics? I can nod my head and say, “Yeah!” or I can click on each link and get very specific statistics, but I can’t download anything and see how it changes over time!?!

EtsyTraffic

Well. Now you can. I’ve created this free Etsy Traffic Parser. You simply enter in time frame, copy and paste Your Etsy Traffice, click Parse, then download. It’s WONDERFUL.

If you find this application useful, you might consider a donation.

AD Traffic

The next hidden goldmine is your Ad traffic. You know Etsy does a lot of of the work in getting you traffic and putting you in front of customers that want your product. So, I’m not bashing Etsy, I LOVE ETSY!

But I can’t make any kind of stategic business decisions if I don’t understand what’s working and what’s NOT working. And Ads are included.

Etsyads

Etsy provides a lovely looking webpage with the results of the ads, but I can’t download it. I can’t do anything but look at it and click the link on every single item and see the statistics per item. It’s maddening.

Untill I created this Etsy Ad Parser. (I know I’m a bit of a geek)

Essentially, you copy and paste the details on this page, and the date range it covers, and then click parse and download and … ta da! You perfectly formatted spreadsheet you can use in Google or Excel!

I think (if you’re at all like me) and you want to try to understand YOUR SHOP…. not everyone elses shop, but YOUR shop, then I think you’ll like these two little tools I put together.

If you found them helpful in any way and want to support my efforts. You can make a donation to my Tech Fund. 🙂
